DIA has created this guide for designers, both employers and employees, to assist with understanding workplace rights, entitlements and obligations. This guide covers modern awards, the National Employment Standards and more. 

The design sector is a significant contributor to the Australian economy. Designers are increasingly working across disciplines, and in new and different specialities, a trend that illustrates the often-entrepreneurial nature of being a designer. As the peak body for Australian design and designers, the DIA operates in around 20 design disciplines (and growing).
