Attend the Design Show Australia and earn DIA CPD points to further your career

A partnership with the Design Institute of Australia’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Accredited Designer™ programs

Want to build your reputation and stand out to clients as an Accredited Designer? The DIA is pleased to announce its partnership with Design Show Australia, supporting the event as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider. Encompassing the nature of the CPD program, the opportunity aims to help educate visitors, designers and the general public about what an Accredited Designer™ is and the professionalism and training required to operate in the interior design space.

Attending the Design Show or the Speaker Series incentivises new and existing members to receive several points in one space while benefiting from the depth of knowledge shared by speakers and key opinion leaders. There's an opportunity for community building among new and existing members, suppliers and industry leaders, and exposure to industry 'best-practice' to promote innovative thinking and problem solving through design.

"Following several successful partnerships in past years, we're thrilled to welcome DIA’s role as CPD provider for the Design Show this year," says Brad Langton, CEO of National Media – the producers of Design Show Australia. "The partnership will see Design Show's panels, events and speaker line-up enriched by DIA members and representatives who are a valued part of our advisory committee."

"Our CPD program outlines the skills and industry experience required to be an Accredited Designer," says DIA’s Head of Program and Partners, Bernadette Wilson. "Design Show will offer CPD points to new and existing members who attend the show's talks, supporting our commitment to offering designers access to the currency of information and industry developments across all facets of the design landscape."

This year's speaker line-up features leading identities spanning all sectors of Australia's design industry, including Alex Fitzpatrick (A Design Studio), Aimee Goodwin (Project 12 Architecture), Adam Mundy (Geyer) and Arabella Garez (DKO), among many others. Speakers will discuss topics and themes directly relevant to DIA's CPD program, with each talk accounting for two points in a member's 50-point program requirement.

The DIA welcomes membership from designers in all design disciplines. DIA first introduced its Accredited Designer™ program in 2003. For two decades, it has championed learning and development as a way for design practitioners to maintain their currency of skills and knowledge and their relevance to the profession.

Design Show Australia will take place from 20 to 22 October at ICC Sydney. To attend
