DIA Annual General Meeting 2025

 

The DIA Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the time for us to reflect on the past year and to plan for the future. This year, the AGM will be held at the WOTSO Melbourne co-working space in person and / or online as we celebrate the achievements of 2025 and the reforms undertaken during last year. The meeting will be followed by drinks to welcome the new CEO and say goodbye to the retiring CEO. AGM meeting is for DIA Members only, registration essential.

• Reports

The National President's Report and Finance Report will be presented for review and adoption at this meeting.


• Announcement

Under the DIA Constitutional arrangements, Branch Council appointments to the National Advisory Council and all representative roles will be announced at this meeting. The announcement of the new DIA CEO will also be made.


• Financial Members Only

Only financial DIA Members are entitled to vote. Others are welcome to attend but are not entitled to vote in terms of the Constitution clause 4.11. If you are unsure of your financial status, please contact admin@design.org.au.


• Proposed Amendments to the Constitution 

There are 27 Amendments being proposed to the current DIA Constitution 2017 for member approval. In summary they are being proposed in order to align DIA design disciplines with the new ABS OSCA 242 profiles for design professionals, to adjust the wording of classes to accommodate Government funding institutions as registered entities and to strengthen DIA's accreditation authority in preparation for the adoption of a Professional Standards Scheme for designers.

• New Business

• Proxies

Members may appoint another Member to attend and vote on the Member’s behalf by completing a Proxy Form. All proxies must be received by COB Friday 21 November 2025.
