‘Designers and Makers: Making Ideas’ exhibition and DIA WA Fellowship presentation
The DIA’s participation in Perth Design Week 2025 was a standout celebration of Australian design. Held at the WA Museum Boola Bardip, the Designers and Makers: Making Ideas exhibition and installation showcased the ingenuity of local talent. A live silver-smithing demonstration by renowned artisan Philip Noakes captivated both the design community and public. The week concluded with a stylish soiree, bringing together industry leaders over drinks and canapés. The evening also honoured excellence in design with Fellowships presented to Stirling Fletcher and David Smith, all set against the stunning backdrop of the DIA-curated collection in one of Perth’s most iconic cultural spaces.
