Improving Your Tender Bids: DIA Online Sessions

Tendering can open the door to substantial, ongoing work, but the process is competitive, time-consuming, and easy to get wrong.

This 90 minute online workshop demystifies the tender process and focuses on the elements that actually win bids.

Led by Rhonwyn Learner of Business In Training, the session combines practical instruction with peer-to-peer experience sharing, so you'll leave with both a clearer framework and insights from how other designers approach their bids.

What we'll cover:

  • An introduction to tendering and where to find opportunities relevant to design practices

  • Preparing tender documentation using the "basic, better, best" model

  • Why your online presence and risk profile matter more than you think

  • The role of AI in writing tenders - what works, what doesn't, and where the risks lie

  • Peer-to-peer experience sharing with other workshop participants

Who it's for:

Design studio principals, independent designers, and small practice owners who want to pursue government or larger commercial work. Whether you're new to tendering or want to sharpen an existing approach, this session will provide insight and confidence.

This session will be hosted on Zoom and the link will be shared one day prior to the session. The session will be recorded and shared with registrants.

For DIA Accredited Designers, attendance at this event is worth 2 CPD Points.

DIA Community events are presented with the support of our Community Partner Clipsal.
