DIA Welcomes Peter Gandolfo as New Board Director
The Design Institute of Australia is excited to announce the appointment of Peter Gandolfo to the DIA Board.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws and is a solicitor and Director at Aintree Group. He brings extensive experience across legal practice, governance and business leadership, having served as President of the Law Institute of Victoria, Chairman of the Legal Aid Commission of Victoria and Deputy President of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also established the Boroondara Solicitors’ Association and served as President of the Eastern Suburbs Law Association.
Importantly, Peter has maintained a longstanding association with the DIA spanning more than three decades, alongside earlier experience founding and operating a multimedia design business. His combined legal and commercial expertise, together with his deep understanding of the design sector and professional practice, will be an invaluable addition to the Board.
Peter joins the Board at an exciting and important moment for the DIA, as the organisation undertakes a significant period of renewal, rebuilding and national repositioning focused on strengthening advocacy, professional recognition, membership growth and the broader visibility of Australian designers.
DIA President Ryan Russell and CEO Simone LeAmon welcomed Peter’s appointment, recognising the significant contribution his experience and strategic insight will bring to the institute and its members nationally.
