So each year one or two individuals with a background in design, art, interiors, fashion or antiques have been invited to rearrange the house-museum with Barb and Alexandra Brownlow being the latest to give their response to this spectacular collection. Working together, the mother and daughter team will bring their combined expertise to William Johnston’s extraordinary collection, and in the process explore the idea of 21st century living designed around historic objects.

Swinburne Free Public lecture.How does one create a look and feel that is uniquely Chinese but also attractive to an international audience of millions? In this talk, HANG Hai and some of the team members from the Art Research Centre for Olympic Games (ARCOG) at China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing will describe the process of designing for the 2008 Olympics. They will focus on the use of traditional Chinese arts and script (jingwen) to create innovative approaches to the Beijing Olympic's designs.
