DIA member receives Australia Medal.
Leslie Walford LFDIA, member of the DIA Hall of Fame and one of the profession’s longest practicing interior designers and decorators, has received an Australia Medal in the 2010 New Year’s Honours List for ‘service to the performing arts, particularly in the field of theatre restoration and decoration, and to the profession of interior design.’
Leslie Walford was a foundation member and National President of SIDA and the SIDA Foundation, is a Life Governor of the NSW Art Gallery, President of the Seaborn Broughton and Walford Foundation, and is active on many charitable and fundraising trusts and foundations.
Inducted into the DIA Hall of Fame in 2007, Walford has worked at the top levels of design for several decades in Australia, Europe, Asia and the UK, and has won many design awards.
The DIA congratulates him on his latest award.
